I warned you there could be several Roger Whittaker songs included in my Friday Favourites and here is another one. I just enjoy the relaxed style of this singer and his voice too of course. However, here Roger shows his prowess while whistling Elizabethan Serenade:
I am sure you will agree this man whistles so beautifully. I listen to him in awe as not only can't I sing, I can't whistle either!! Enjoy.
I always enjoy the video where he demonstrates the different types of whistling he can do. So clever. Antibiotics seem to be helping. Phil still sneezing!! Thanks for your kind thoughts. xx
He does whistle beautifully, so clearly too. My dad was a whistler, one of those happy whistle while you work types. I can't whistle hardly at all and get a coughing fit when I try.
Glad you enjoyed it River. Phil used to whistle beautifully once but he lost a few back teeth and now his whistle is no more. Rather sad. I am a little like you. Try to whistle and end of coughing.
Wow, this takes me back to my life in England before coming to OZ. I always thought his voice was a combination of Treacle Toffee and Chocolate Fudge - delicious! And his whistle was so clear and controlled, left me breathless. I think my favourite song of his was, "Durham Town". You can here it here:
Glad you are enjoying these 'visits' Tez and thanks for your comments. I have about 8 CDs of Roger Whittaker which cover so many of his songs. Many people favour Durham Town but it is not one of my favourites. I really enjoy his rendition of Albany (even the German version).
