SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT

Most of you have probably seen this poem many times but it always brings a smile to my face along with so many memories of times 'back then'.   I found it on Facebook during the week so thought "why not share it?"

  1. I remember most of that. I don't recall any slaps, though.

    1. Me too although I was never slapped thank goodness. Did receive a couple of good hidings (with mum's hand) which I truly deserved.

  2. I haven't seen that poem before. Much of what it contains is familiar, but I suspect(know) that there was a lot hidden and not talked about as well. No time is perfect.

    1. Back then there were definitely things not spoken of.
There were good times there were bad times for everybody.

    1. Me too but then we wouldn't have the wonderful medical knowledge that helps keep us alive as we do now.
      Can't have everything.

  4. I have never heard that poem before, but I like it a lot. Life certainly seemed easier and more fun back then. I'm going to copy this down.

    1. I read it out to Phil and then copied it so he could take it to his poetry group where it was appreciated.
Can you photocopy things on here I wonder? Probably not as that would be an invasion of privacy I would think.
