Sadly true. And somedays the banisters are missing too.
Yes EC, you often have to take great care when making the ascent.
And sometimes the view from the top isn't worth all that effort. I'm talking about all those eager social climbers who leave friends and family behind in their quest to reach "the top" whatever that might be. It pays to take it slowly and rest along the way, smell the roses and retouch with reality now and again.
You are so right River. The "would be's if they could be's" I feel miss much of the beauty of life.We all need to stop and smell the roses and see the world as it really is.
Hari Om..and sometimes there are steps missing and we have to learn to build them for ourselves.... ohhhhhhh the analogies.... YAM xx
Yes Yam we can read so many different and varied ways of making our way through life including all the pitfalls we find along the way. xx
And a few of us take a look at those steps and say, "Nah" and go our own way.
Delores I think many of us made that decision some years ago.
Life is just like a staircase...a few landings along the way!...:)JP
I guess we need those landings so we can a deep breath and pause a while and ponder if we are going in the right direction.
