That is so true. my first ex had many different reasons and excuses as to why he wasn't wrong, even after being proved wrong, he still argued against it. Me? I'm more likely to say, 'well gosh, I was wrong wasn't I?' It's usually the cheaters and liars who protest too vigorously, you know, politicians...(*~*)
Your first husband sounds very like mine and, at 83, he is still very much that way. I think one should be confident enough to admit when one makes a mistake.
We are presented with many tests but this is among the most telling.
