It is performed by classical pianist Lang Lang during a rehearsal at Boston's Symphony Hall on 27 February, 2013. He is a true showman. I thought it would be different to show him rehearsing rather than playing at a serious concert.
Once again, hoping this will come through OK. This is, of course, me experimenting and with my minute knowledge of computing in general I always have my fingers crossed (or would if I could cross them). (*:*)
Oh it does not surprise me that you play piano I just knew you did. Love that music. Hug B
ReplyDeleteSo glad you enjoyed it. Piano music my favourite although violin music beautiful too. I love so many types of music but not much of the more modern type.
DeleteThe way his fingers move it is almost as if the video clip has been speeded up. The sound makes it clear it hasn't.
ReplyDeleteHow amazing.
I don't think many people realise the skill needed to play that type of piano music. I just love to see both hands so busy on the keyboard. He is one amazing pianist.

ReplyDeleteOne of my all time faves... music and pianist!!! Fabby Friday choice Mimsie... YAM xx
So glad you enjoyed both the music and the artist. Both so wonderful. xx
DeleteI admire the skills of classical pianists, but the music doesn't appeal to me at all. I'm not one of those people who can hear things in the music, like babbling brooks or the wind in the trees. I do wish I could play piano, though honky-tonk style is probably what I'd play.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure I always listen to hear what music is saying but rather just like to enjoy the sounds themselves.
DeleteI too wish I could play piano....a skill that has long since left me unfortunately.....no piano so no practice over the years.
