I am becoming a real laggard of late with posting on my blog.  One reason is the ring finger on my left hand has decided to rebel and my typing is suffering because of it.  It doesn't appear to be a case of trigger finger 'cos it doesn't click but it is painful when I type and on occasion will suddenly go stiff and there is no way I can bend it until it is ready to do so itself.   It does hurt so I have to be patient with it.   My left hand also tends to get pins and needles in if I type for too long.  I'm afraid the old grey mare definitely ain't what she used to be but she's not given up completely....not yet anyway.

The above has of course delayed me with the continuing story my mother told about her life and even about the A-Z of vegetables.  Please bear with me and I'll try to get on with it all ASAP.  In the meantime (although I showed this before) do share a laugh with me over this very wise and pretty picture:

I'm smiling as I sent hugs to all my friends.   (I remember who sent me these pretty cacti pics.  I wonder does she remember sending them to me?)

  1. A sweet post Mimsie, you are doing well lovely lady - I'm not posting at all!! You've inspired me to do something about that.
I've also been having massive problems with my comments sticking on blogs - I've been visiting, but comments have been a problem :(

  2. Hari Om
Oh Mimsie, we are always delighted to see you in the 'reader' - but gracious me, the only person being hard on you here is yourself!!! It's holiday time - take a rest and come back at the time which suits you... Huge hugs and seasonal wishes to you (just in case it's next year before you post again!) YAM xx

  3. Don't push yourself.....give your hands a rest and then come back to us. You can get a voice to text program for your computer if the worst comes to the worst.

  4. You are not behind. And are welcome whenever you find the time, the energy and a relatively pain-free window to post.
    Look after yourself.
    And hugs.

  5. Ouch on the finger, sounds like arthritis. I had the same in my right hand pinky and while the pain is long gone, the pinky is permanently bent at the end joint. I can push it straight, but it doesn't stay straight anymore. Both thumbs have arthritis too and when it first made itself known the pain was awful, now I'm careful how I use them and they're mostly pain free. Until they suddenly click the wrong way.
Don't worry at all about being behind in your posting, we're just happy to read what you post whenever you get here. I have some people on my list who haven't posted in almost a year.

  6. I don't have the excuse of uncooperative fingers - but find that I haven't had enough time to keep up with my favorite blogs this month. Just spread a little too thin! I enjoy reading your blog though - and visit when I can. I hope your fingers feel better soon.
