MORE FRIDAY FLOWERS TO ENJOY

This morning I need cheering up so decided on flowers again.  Why do I need cheering up?  I have no idea.  Just one of those days that happen when you're old I guess.  So many things going on lately and perhaps it's all caught up with me.

I am not sure that the first picture is of a flower but rather a fruit perhaps.  Can anyone confirm that for me?  I have shown it anyway as it is very beautiful and the colours so lovely.  I am sure you will recognise a few of these.

Take the memory and beauty of these into the weekend and I hope you have a good one.

I must apologise for not visiting some blogs over the past few days but I promise to try and catch up.   I enjoy reading them all so much so just give me time and I'll pay a visit soon.

  2. My goodness, that red and white rose is stunning! And the red and white orchid too.
The first picture is Lychees I believe. They're a fruit.

  4. These are gorgeous. I recognise several, because they grow in my garden. But not the first fruit; it could well be lychees, as river says. Don’t like the taste.

About the geriatric mood swings: I am now old too, but these mood swings and periods of misery have been an unwanted companion for most of my life. Looking at flowers, reading and listening to music helps, and certainly going out into the fresh air makes quite a difference.

    Hope you’ll feel better soon.

    1. Hi there Friko and thank you for popping in.
I appreciate all your comments and I guess older people have to expect ourselves no to be as we were in our youth.
My depression is not the serious type thank goodness, but rather to do with diabetes and chronic arthritis which often just amounts to sheer frustration.
I did pop over to your blog but had no time to leave comments but I will be back as soon as I can spend a reasonable amount of time 'with you'.

River's on the ball - those indeed be lychee!! Yum. What an amazing bouquet you have presented as dear blogpal. Thanks for taking time to comment over my way too. Given the hectic time you have been having that was generous. I do hope you have a good weekend! YAM xx

    1. I think I once had lychees at a Chinese restaurant and quite liked them (with ice cream perhaps?).
The responses from my blogging friends always cheer me up as well as the pretty flowers.
I'll be back over 'your way' as often as I can be as all you say do are so interesting.
Weekend was a good one including Mother's Day.

  8. Wishing you a beautiful day tomorrow Mimsie.
The final flower image of the variegated Rose? There were two identical ones just like that in a bouquet I received via the florist last week. We were most intrigued by them.
And yes flowers are always cheerful and gladden the heart.
I agree with River and Friko I too am pretty sure the first image is Lychees.

    1. Thank you Rose and yes, Sunday was a good day all round. Hope yours was enjoyable as well.
Coincidence that you actually had 2 of those red/white roses in your bouquet and lucky you receiving said bouquet too.
Seems the lychee decision is unanimous and I confirmed it on Google. (What would we do without Google?).
      I appreciate your visit here.
