FLOWERY FRIDAY

I do hope you have enjoyed the flowers over the past few weeks.  I thought them beautiful enough to share and I hope they did bring smiles to your faces as you admired them and their lovely colours.  Maybe next week we will find some more funnies for you. I'll do my best anyway.

We had some daisies like this in our garden several years ago but they have now reverted to just ordinary daisy petals although the colours are still very pretty.

Did you recognise any, or perhaps all, of these flowers?  Hope your weekend goes well for you.  We are very happy here in Perth as we had RAIN, yes real rain.  About 2 inches (50mm) at our place which had smiles on our faces (and no thunderstorms which was even better for yours truly).

    1. Yes Rae, they are lovely. We have lots of daisies but as said above, they have reverted back to the more common type of flower which of course are still very pretty.

  2. Gorgeous. I grow the first and the last - and hope that the first flowers 'true' next season.
    Have a great weekend.

    1. Our daisies stayed true to form for several years before reverting back to the more common type of flower. We've never grown dahlias although I do like them so much. I wish I knew what the third flower is as it is lovely.

  3. The fourth photo is a snail creeper. I love them and wish I had one and a structure to have it climb over. The final photo is possibly a cactus dahlia.
    All of these are beautiful.

    1. Thanks for that. I looked up snail vine and found how to grow it from seed or cutting but no mention of buying an actual plant. It comes from Central and South America so appears to be semi-tropical enjoying warm conditions. It has several different names....snail bean or corkscrew plant.
I think you are right about the last plant. Dahlias are such beautiful flowers but I think need a fair bit of upkeep. There's a garden in the next street to us and they have a beautiful display of dahlias every year of which I am very envious.

    1. I thought them quite spectacular too. How I'd love a true cottage garden full of beautiful flowers. Not easy in Perth with our very hot summers unfortunately.
Weekend going slowly but reasonably well. Things must be looking up as I'm trying a new dish for dinner tonight. Wish me luck. xxx

    1. Even more rain so doing well here but no need of an ark as yet. Am loving the cooler weather although still above 20ºC (68ºF) with warm nights.
Probably some of those flowers are grown in parts of your world and in the US too.
Hope you are feeling much better. xx
