This little cat reminded me so much of Candy I just had to include it. I wonder if cats really do feel that concerned when they see us cry? I am sure Candy wonders why Phil bustles about trying to pick up the lizards she brings in to us and wonders why her gift is not fully appreciated.
I am certain that cats recognise our moods. They might not always know what caused it, but they recognise it. Many of my tears have been dried and soothed by a cat.
ReplyDeleteCats can help make you cheerful but in this case I don't think the mouse cheered up the poor lady.
DeleteCats may seem aloof, but I find them quite comforting. Tacky leaves her gifts and appears to forget about it.
ReplyDeleteCats are very comforting. Candy bring us in little lizards which Phil has to chase and pick up with dustpan and brush and deposit the poor little creatures back outside. Candy brought us in a live mouse and now we are trying to get rid of it, poor little mite.
DeleteOh the poor kitty! Luckily for me, Angel never brings in anything he catches.Perhaps he just doesn't catch stuff. He does get a worried/confused look when I'm in a grumpy mood, so I give him extra cuddles when he's ready for them.
ReplyDeleteI am sure cats read our moods and respond to them.
DeleteMaybe 'cos Angel was an indoor cat for some time he's not got the hunting instinct?

ReplyDeleteJasper only did that once (possum guts...) He absolutely knew my mood... YAM xx
Cats can be amazing what they do to try and cheer us up but in this case I think maybe his choice wasn't good. xx
