Have long heard that remaining senses are compensatorily heightened --so far, I've got better at lip-reading. That's about it.
That is definitely one sense that has improved for me over time, but I do still have a keen sense of humour, thank goodness.
People with no sense of humor have an increased sense of self-importance.I'd never made that connection before, but it's right in most cases.
I am sure it's the case with several people I've known over the years.
