To top that off I had the worst bout of hay fever I've ever had and must have sneezed about 100 times on Wednesday. With the help of antihistamines it is easing, thank goodness.
I did manage to find two 'right' things though. Had a surprise visit from our daughter and her hubby who popped in for a cuppa on the weekend. It was wonderful to see them both.
The other 'right' thing was a second builder came to 'admire' the damage to the kitchen cupboards. He will submit his quote and hopefully we will hear within a week or two what is going to happen in our kitchen. I hope his firm gets the job as I liked him much better than the builder who called last week. I'm just hoping the cabinet maker/carpenter who finally gets the job is easy to get on with too.
Oh yes, measurements were also taken to replace the vinyl flooring in the kitchen and also the carpet in the L-shaped hall as it got wet and is stained. We would like new carpet in our living room too but not sure we could afford it and could I really go through the upheaval it would cause on top of the upheaval that is going to happen in the kitchen? I am getting far too old for all this commotion.
