SONGS OF MY YOUTH AND CHILDHOOD

As I mentioned mum and dad enjoyed musical comedy and in particular that of Gilbert and Sullivan.  I'm not quite as enthusiastic about it as they were but they you have to remember they were both born in the 19th century....dad in 1885 and mum in 1897.

This is a real bit of nonsense from Pirates of Penzance....The Major General's song.  Fortunately the provide the lyrics as I certainly can't make out the words he sings.  I wonder what the youth of today would think of this?
