Here one of Phil's favourite artists, Daniel Barenboim, plays Chopin's Waltz Op 64 Minute Waltz in D Flat Major. (It is always called The Minute Waltz but actually takes about 1 minute 45 seconds to complete).
Thanks once again to YouTube without which I would be lost. I often just sit hear and listen to all sorts of wonderful music while I am doing something or other on another browser. I do hope you will enjoy this.
Thank you Mimsie, that was lovely. I listened to Barenboim's interpretation followed by Lang Lang's and loved them both. I then I just had to go on and listen to Lang Lang playing Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5. Such sublime music.
ReplyDeleteI would have loved to play the piano but growing up we were too poor to have lessons. It's only been in the last 20 years or so that I have developed a love for classical music that features the piano. Piano music speaks to my soul like no other instrument. It's magic.
I am so glad you enjoyed that and continued through to listen to the others as well.
DeleteI have always loved music and it ranges from the old type work and roll right through to classical music and even some opera. I find the piano also talks to me and can being tears to my eyes. It is indeed magic.
No, I can't listen to that. I stopped it after 25 seconds.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry River. What was wrong with it? Pity you didn't give it a few more seconds as it is so beautiful.

ReplyDeleteOf the Romantic composers, Chopin would be top of my list too!!! I had not listened to this waltz for quite some time. Thank you for reminding me it is there!!! YAM xx
Glad you enjoyed it Yam. It is always good to be reminded of our favourites. Chopin was a genius and I do so love his music. xx
