FRIDAY FUN (after a difficult week)

A few more pictures that have no need of words.  As they say, every picture tells a story.

Do you have Skype?  Take your smile into the weekend and do have an enjoyable one.

    1. Thanks EC and I feel things are brightening up for us just like the flowers I've used for my profile picture. They arrived from family in Alaska last week via a local florist and are still looking fresh after 9 days. Looking forward tomorrow as it is K's birthday and she and her fellow are coming here for afternoon tea. Not seen them for weeks so something to really look forward to.

  2. I love these! Thank you.
My computer is capable of skype, but I haven't enabled that function.
Faceless email contact is enough for me.
    And blogging too of course.

    1. They are good aren't they?
K connected me to Skype but I don't use it. She uses hers all the time to keep in touch with her family in Alaska. It was wonderful last Christmas when we were opening our gifts and they could watch from way over there. Lots of fun had by all.

  5. What terrific pictures! I'm not sure I could even pick which I like best.

We used to Skype with a couple in South Africa, but haven't for quite some time.

I hope your weekend is so good, you forget all about the stresses of this past week.

    1. Thanks Susan for your kind thoughts. We are feeling a little less stressed that we were.
I too have Skype but don't use it (you will see from above comment that my daughter uses hers almost daily). For family far apart it is a wonderful technological development.

Adorable as ever... just can't get enough of these!!! Skype no...I am a Go-ogle gal. It is lovely to be able to see the faces of dear ones from time to time. On lighter notes also, are you following anything of the Comm Games? Scotland has turned on the sun just for this! Have a good weekend my dears. YAM xx

    1. Hi Yam and thanks for all your comments.
Trouble with Skype you have to be dressed well if you are going to let people view you when talking. lol
Not a great follower of the Games but did watch cycling last night (the time difference can be a deterrent) and do keep in touch with the medal count. Good to see Billy C. enjoying the cycling last night. He is looking quite well although I believe he isn't in the best of health.
Seems there is lots of sun in many parts of the UK this summer and I hope you are able to enjoy being out and about in it.
I must apologise if I don't appear to be following your blogs. For some reason they are not showing up and if I do catch a glimpse of one I can't access it. Very disappointing as they are so interesting. What can be do about it I wonder? xxx

Just getting back to check here Mimsie (you are so good at responding!)... you are not the only one who has trubs getting to my place. In turn even ones I had established links with have dropped off my list so it all has to do with THE CLOUD I suppose...tsk.

However, by right clicking the name of any of your commenters, then chosing 'open in different tab' you should go to their main profile page. For some this will be the simple blogger profile, for others like my own it will be the G+ page. By default it shows the 'posts' page and you will be able to see all the posts made at a glance. To go to any of the blogs (I just added THIS NEW ONE!) all you need to do is click on the links within each of the post windows... OR you can go to the "about" page and at the bottom are links to each of the main pages. Once you have reached one, you will find that there are links to each of the others on the sidebars. To clarify, I have a photoblog, a creative writing blog (Mon & Fri only), the mandala blog which I have had to leave off for a while but can still be visited, the personal 'journal' blog (daily mess and travels) and finally I have got to the one which I really wanted to do; the philosophy and spirit blog.

Quite the list. I would have emailed this to you but you don't have that option on your profile. If you would be happy for me to have that, you could leave it in a comment on Aatmaavrajanam, as I am not publishing comments there, so it will be between us!

Yours are one of the blogs I eagerly await to read, dear Mimsie; Blessings and hugs, YAM xx

    3. ..after all that - when I posted and checked, the html has been over-written and the link to the new blog only redirects to your own blog Mimisie.... this makes me wonder if you have disabled HTML for comments? Not to worry... i just checked and the link to the profile page from the commenter name line is working fine! Phew.... Yxx

  7. Love all the photos, esp. the lightning over the trees. And, of course, the Skype box. Skype is the only way I get to see my grandson in Switzerland.

    1. I loved the lightning too although I am terrified of it and that lot looked particularly frightening.
I know my daughter uses her Skype constantly to keep in touch with her daughter in Alaska. She'd be lost without it. I have it but seldom, if ever, use it.

    1. Thank you and so glad to have you pop in. I wonder just how many people have the capability of using Skype but just don't. A bit like our mobile (cell) phone. We just take it with us in case the car should break down or something similar. : )

    1. It's amazing isn't it how many of us have Skype and it just sits there unused.
Glad you enjoyed the pictures. Hope to find some more soon. : )
