It is not easy to grow in the home garden but the pink varieties may be better but not perhaps as spectacular. I may look into that with one of the nurseries over here. Tried again when I got to Adelaide some years later and spotted a display of pots at the local nursery. Failed again. Now I know that it only grows best in WA.
